The County of San Mateo Patient Accounting Division is seeking two experienced Project Management Associates - Limited Term for a full time position to support the development and implementation of Revenue Cycle Improvement initiative to reduce unbilled accounts.
 
This position supports the project management needs of Patient Accounting Division and impacted departments and stakeholders. The work location is at 801 Gateway Blvd., Suite 200 South San Francisco, CA and the work hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
 
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Project Management and Coordination: assisting in the coordination of efforts of various stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Data Analysis: obtaining information via varied sources in order to extract meaningful data to present to vested parties. 
  • Workflow: documenting workflows pertinent to the division.
 
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree (or working towards a degree) or its equivalent in project management, public administration, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in efforts to achieve brand consistency and high standards for internal and external communications.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to plan, track and manage multiple projects and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow through and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience working with database software and/or data analytics is a plus.

This is a limited term, at-will position.  Limited Term Employees are assigned to assignments not to exceed three years. They receive medical and dental benefits, similar to regular employees, and a defined contribution retirement plan. The eligible list generated from this recruitment may be used to fill future extra-help, term, unclassified, and regular classified vacancies.
